If you think Tuscany is just vineyards and olive groves you’ll be surprised by this place! The Castelvecchio Nature Reserve is to be found in the San Gimignano countryside but is characterized by local vegetation such as the Mediterranean scrub, woods and ditches cut out of the cavernous limestone. On the summit of one of these hills, we’ll reach the archaeological area where we can still distinguish parts of look-out towers, houses, oil-mills and churches of the abandoned fortified village called Castelvecchio. This place, immerged in the woodland, lends itself very well to experimenting the practice of Forest Bathing; stimulating our senses we’ll try to make a deeper relationship with the surrounding environment to benefit from the positive effects that nature gives us against stress and anxiety
