FOREST BATHING
LIVING IN NATURE
Forest Bathing, or Shinrin-Yoku is a practice born in Japan in 1982, where it is officially recognised for the prevention and in some cases the cure of some illnesses. This method envisages immersion in natural environments with specific characteristics, one of which is a high level of biodiversity, so principally in complex forests, using all our senses.
Scientific research has proved that this practice brings multiple benefits to our health, both mental and physical, ever-increasingly put to the test by a frenetic and stressful life style, due to an existence which is dominated more and more by technology, by urbanization and by anthropic presence. The practice of Forest Bathing brings the human being to reinstate an empathic relationship with nature and thus to have an attitude of care and protection of the environment, in conclusion biophilia, literally love for nature.
