Wandering Art
With this trek I’ll take you to get to know the countryside where I grew up and where my family still lives. Along the way we can admire panoramic views of the towers, walk along a part of the old Via Francigena which from the 10th century allowed commercial and cultural exchange which made San Gimignano one of the most important destinations in the Middle Ages, and we’ll visit the very beautiful Romanesque church of Cellole, one of the oldest churches in this territory. At the end of the hike, we’ll visit my family’s house, a house/studio where my father, sculptor, and my mother, pianist, carry out their activities. Among tools of the trade, musical instruments, brushes and colours we’ll make their acquaintance and they’ll tell us about how the relation with the place in which live has influenced them, but above all they’ll give us a demonstration of their art.
